About Vegas AC Repair: AC and Heating Specialists for the Las Vegas Heat

Vegas AC Repair is a Las Vegas AC and heating service, serving the valley since 2019. We do one thing: we keep air conditioners and furnaces running in a city that hit 120°F on July 7, 2024. Houses, rentals, Airbnb units and small commercial spaces, that is our work, every day of the year.

We cover Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City, down to the neighborhood: Summerlin, Centennial Hills, Providence, Peccole Ranch, Downtown Las Vegas, Green Valley, Anthem, Lake Las Vegas, Aliante, Spring Valley, Paradise and Enterprise. Every job is done by a Nevada-licensed, insured operator with EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification. Call, get a free estimate on the phone, and get a written price before we start.

Our Story: Why We Built an AC and Heating Service for Las Vegas

Las Vegas is not a normal AC market. Summer 2026 was the second hottest on record here, with an average of 94.7°F, and the valley logged 23 days at 110°F or hotter. July brought six nights in a row that never dropped below 90°F. Your system never got a break, not even at 3 a.m.

AC equipment is rated at 95°F outdoor air, and Las Vegas afternoons blow past that for weeks. Many valley homes also put the air handler and the ducts in an attic that passes 150°F. So a system that lasts 15 to 20 years in a mild climate usually lasts 10 to 15 years here. Homeowners were calling generalists who also sell plumbing and solar, or sitting through a sales visit that quoted a new system before anyone took a single reading.

The Problem We Saw

A tech shows up without the part, orders it, and you sweat for another day. Or a salesman walks in, skips the testing, and talks replacement. A run capacitor cooked in a hot attic, a contactor pitted by a monsoon power flicker, a condenser coil packed with desert dust: these are cheap fixes when someone actually finds them.

The Result We Built

So we built a service around the way Las Vegas actually breaks AC. Calls answered 24 hours. Same-Day service. A free estimate on the call and a flat rate in writing before we start. Truck-stock parts for the failures we see every week. We show you the failed part, and the diagnostic fee is credited to the repair when you go ahead. No contract, no subscription, no form to fill out. And if the same fault comes back, call us and we make it right.

The Local Context: The Las Vegas AC Problem and What Makes This Market Different

Four problems make up most of our calls in this valley. They usually show up in the first 110° week, which lands around June 30 on average, or right after a monsoon storm knocks the power around. Hard water at about 16 grains per gallon leaves scale in drain lines, and dust coats every outdoor coil.

Each one has a short list of usual causes, and a trained tech can test for them in one visit. Here is what we see most.

AC Not Cooling

The system runs but the house keeps climbing. In Las Vegas that is usually a weak capacitor, a dirty coil or a refrigerant leak, and we check the 20-degree split first.

AC Blowing Warm Air

Warm air from the vents usually means the outdoor unit quit while the indoor fan keeps going. Capacitors and contactors are the usual suspects after a hot week.

Learn more →

AC Leaking Water

Hard water scale and dust clog drain lines, and the pan or float switch takes the hit. In an attic, that water lands on your ceiling, and mold can start within 24 to 48 hours.

AC Not Turning On

No hum, no fan, nothing. Monsoon power flickers, tripped breakers, a full drain safety switch or a dead thermostat cause most of these, and most are quick fixes.

WHAT WE DO

Our AC and Heating Services in Las Vegas

AC Repair

Warm air, a humming outdoor unit, ice on the line or a tripped breaker. We test, find the real cause and fix it, with most AC repairs in the $150 to $650 range.

Emergency AC Repair

AC dead at night in July? Calls are answered 24 hours, and we treat no cooling in a Las Vegas summer as the emergency it is.

Emergency AC repair →

AC Maintenance

Dust and 150°F attics wear parts out fast. A tune-up runs about $99 and catches a weak capacitor before it quits on the hottest day.

AC maintenance →

AC Installation

When repair stops making sense, we size the new system for the valley heat, pull the permit and handle the inspection. Same-Day service and a free estimate.

AC installation →

Heating Repair

Igniters, flame sensors, blower motors and gas valves. Winter nights here still get cold enough that a dead furnace matters. Most furnace repairs run $150 to $800.

WHERE WE SERVE

AC and Heating Service Across the Las Vegas Valley

Henderson

Its own city in the southeast valley and the second largest in Nevada, with its own building department. Older Green Valley and Whitney Ranch homes sit next to newer foothill tracts in Anthem, Seven Hills, Inspirada and Cadence.

AC repair in Henderson →

Summerlin

Master-planned community on the west edge by Red Rock Canyon, in development since 1990 and sitting at about 3,500 feet. The earliest villages are 1990s stucco homes, and two-story homes usually run two systems. Centennial Hills, Providence, Lone Mountain, Queensridge and Peccole Ranch get the same service.

AC repair in Summerlin →

North Las Vegas

Its own city with its own building department. The 2022 heat mapping study found downtown North Las Vegas among the hottest parts of the valley. We cover Aliante, Craig Ranch, College Park and North Cheyenne.

AC repair in North Las Vegas →

Boulder City

The 1931 Hoover Dam town about 26 miles southeast of Las Vegas, with older homes on retrofitted cooling and a city-run electric utility. We cover Historic Downtown out to the Lake Mead area.

CREDENTIALS & PROMISES

What Backs Our Work

Every promise below is one we keep on every call. No fine print.

Licensed & Insured

Work is done by Nevada-licensed, insured operators in the C-21 refrigeration and air conditioning class. You can check any license on the Nevada State Contractors Board website.

EPA 608 Refrigerant Handling

Federal law requires EPA Section 608 certification to handle refrigerant. Every tech who touches your refrigerant lines holds it.

Flat Rate in Writing

Free estimate on the call, then a written price before we start. The diagnostic visit runs $79 to $89, and that fee is credited to the repair when you go ahead.

30-Day Repair Protection

If the same fault comes back within 30 days, call us and we make it right. That is the deal on every repair.

Truck-Stock Parts

Capacitors, contactors, motors and the other parts this valley burns through ride on the truck, so most repairs finish on the first visit.

Permits and No Contracts

Full replacements get a permit and an inspection through the right building department. No contract, no subscription, and our typical price ranges are published on the site.

WHY LAS VEGAS IS DIFFERENT

Why Las Vegas Is Hard on Every AC System

The Heat

The valley logged 23 days at 110°F or hotter in 2026, and August 2026 was the warmest August on record at an average of 96.3°F. Equipment rated at 95°F runs past its test point for weeks.

The Attic

Las Vegas attics commonly pass 150°F in summer, and many homes keep the air handler and ducts up there. That heat cooks capacitors, motors and duct seams.

Dust and Hard Water

Desert dust packs condenser coils, and water at about 16 grains per gallon leaves scale in drain lines and pans. Both make a system work harder.

The Monsoon

From late June through September, storms bring humidity, dust, lightning and power flickers. Those flickers are hard on contactors, boards and compressors.

The Rental Market

Under NRS 118A.380, a landlord must make best efforts to restore AC within 48 hours of written notice. Out-of-state owners need someone local who answers.

The Power Bill

Starting January 1, 2027, NV Energy adds a daily demand charge of 14 cents per kW, based on your highest 15-minute stretch of use each day. A struggling AC pushes that peak up.
